Residual sugar: 1.7 g/l
Alcohol: 13.3% by volume
Vintage:
A warm spring followed a moderately rainy winter, giving an early start to the 2005 growing season. The rainfall was in normal amount and equally dispersed throughout the year. These conditions, which continued through most of the harvest season, fostered high-quality grapes and set a relatively easy pace for the vineyard and winemakers.
Grapes were hand picked in two periods: from 24 to 26 September and from 4 to 10 October 2005.
Winemaking:
- The grapes are crushed and de-stalked while preserving the temperature below 12°C
- Settled in tanks for cold maceration fostering excellent development of aromas and flavours from the grapes
- 30 days of alcoholic and malolactic fermentation followed by processes of fining and stabilizing
- The wine is aged for 6 months in bottles before release.
